Inside La Sagrada Familia

Every time I was in Barcelona, the long lineups to get tickets to enter La Sagrada Familia discouraged me from visiting it. On this specific trip, I was there with my mother who made a point of visiting it as she had never been there and was very interested in seeing it in person. So I bought reserved tickets online which gave us a window between 11 am and noon for entry. Despite the crowds outside and inside this church, I was very happy to finally see it inside. It’s pretty spectacular, considering when it was designed and how they managed to build it today.

Another notable feature of the Sagrada Familia is its use of light. The church is designed to allow light to enter from above, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The stained glass windows, which depict scenes from the life of Jesus and other religious figures, cast colourful light into the church, adding to the sense of peacefulness and reverence. The natural light is further enhanced by the use of artificial lighting, which is used to highlight specific areas of the church and add to the overall ambiance.
