LOT Polish Airlines is setting a new standard for long-haul travel with the unveiling of its revamped Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner cabins. The carrier’s latest upgrades promise not only enhanced comfort and cutting-edge technology but also a distinctive Polish touch that reflects the airline’s nearly 95-year history. Now, this was announced a couple of months ago, but I have just learned about it. While these upgrades won’t be rolled out until 2026, they mark a significant milestone for LOT Polish Airlines and its passengers.
A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity
In a bold move to blend its rich heritage with modern trends, LOT Polish Airlines has collaborated with renowned global brands such as RECARO Aircraft Seating, Safran Passenger Innovations, Viasat, and Tangerine to reimagine its Dreamliner interiors. The result is a cabin design that embodies the spirit of Polish hospitality while embracing the sleek aesthetics of contemporary travel.
Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of Product Development and Customer Experience at LOT, highlighted how the new cabins draw inspiration from the Polish landscape. “Vibrant, deep blues emanate perfectly from the LOT brand, while the addition of copper alludes to the warmth of the Polish sun,” she explains. “We do not forget to include touches from our cultural heritage.”
Unmatched Comfort in Every Class
Passengers can look forward to a complete overhaul of seating across all classes. LOT Business Class will feature the CL6720 model from RECARO Aircraft Seating, offering a 1-2-1 configuration that ensures aisle access for every passenger, alongside enhanced privacy with individual doors. LOT Premium Economy and LOT Economy classes will also see upgrades, with more space, advanced cushioning, and better aisle access. Notably, the Economy Class seats, produced in RECARO’s Polish factory, are a nod to the airline’s commitment to both comfort and national pride.
State-of-the-Art In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity
LOT is also upping the ante with a new in-flight entertainment system that boasts 4K resolution screens, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB-C charging ports across all classes. Business and Premium Economy passengers will additionally benefit from universal power sockets, with wireless charging available in Business Class.
Connectivity won’t be left behind either. Thanks to Viasat, passengers on long-haul flights can enjoy global wireless Internet access, making it easier than ever to stay connected at 30,000 feet.
