This would be my favourite town to retire to… Sitges in Spain has been recognized as one of the most charming towns and prestigious on the Catalan coast and enjoys a mild and temperate microclimate. It’s just 35km southwest of Barcelona, backed by the mountainous Parc Natural del Garraf. It’s known for its Mediterranean beaches and seafront promenade lined with grand mansions. The compact old town and surrounding streets are filled with shops and restaurants. Throughout the year, there are countless events, such as the Sitges International Film Festival, Sitges Carnival, local festivities, Theatre Festival, Vintage car rally, Gay Pride, concerts, and more. It’s just 25km away from Barcelona’s El Prat International Airport, allowing you to reach other places in Europe. There is also a local train running to Barcelona.
