There are many fabulous places to see and explore in Paris, and my favourite is Centre Pompidou (Centre Georges Pompidou). I love the architecture of the building and its surrounding. Located in the Beaubourg area of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, near Les Halles, rue Montorgueil, and the Marais. It was designed in high-tech architecture by the architectural team of Richard Rogers, Su Rogers, Renzo Piano, and Gianfranco Franchini. The centre houses the Public Information Library, the Musée National d’Art Moderne and IRCAM, a centre for music and acoustic research.
I can walk around it for hours and just look at it. There are many interesting architectural details. It’s very colourful and so different from the rest of Paris’s architecture. The Stravinsky Fountain is ornamented with sixteen works of sculpture, moving and spraying water, representing the works of composer Igor Stravinsky. It was created in 1983 by sculptors Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle and is located on Place Stravinsky, next to the Centre Pompidou, in Paris.
